Steel Soapbox: Fake Think Tanks
Be wary of the following propaganda styled groups. You will note none of these groups have anti, hating names, but sound very legit. And that was on purpose, to design their names and structures to seem unbiased, normalized, and safe.
The one I will list below all are designated by the Southern Poverty Law Center as a hate group…. read that again…. a hate group. If you are following these guys, giving them money, or promoting their spiels, you are participating in a hate group.
What is even better many of these guys are not regulated and more than often have received a tax except status to promote their hate in America: again THINK….. they do not pay taxes on money received but use that money to spread hate, misinformation, false facts, lies … think about that for a while.
National Policy Institute
geesh that sounds so mainstream…. Nope. “The National Policy Institute (NPI) is a white nationalist, white supremacist think tank based in Arlington, Virginia. It presents a lobby for white nationalism and seeks to provide a “so-called alt-right” “intellectual vanguard”. Its president as of 2016 is Richard B. Spencer, a founder of the blog Alternative Right.” (Wiki)
New Century Foundation (also American Renaissance is owned by Jared Taylor)
“The New Century Foundation is an organization founded in 1994 known primarily for publishing American Renaissance. From 1994 to 1999 its activities received considerable funding by the Pioneer Fund, and has been described as a white supremacist group, which its founder, Jared Taylor, denies, calling it white separatist.” (Wiki)
Family Research Council
Nice sounding name for all families right? ?? Exception if you are LGBTQ or apparently a “divorced” family. “FRC promotes traditional family values, by advocating and lobbying for socially conservative policies. It opposes and lobbies against the LGBT rights (such as same-sex marriage, same-sex civil unions, and LGBT adoption), abortion, divorce, embryonic stem-cell research and pornography.” (Wiki)
American College of Pediatricians
Sound like a good organization right????? However this is an anti-LGBTQ hate group) “The American College of Pediatricians (ACPeds) is a socially conservative advocacy group of pediatricians and other healthcare professionals in the United States. The group was founded in 2002 by a group of pediatricians, including Joseph Zanga, a past president of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), as a protest against the AAP’s support for adoption by gay couples.” (Wiki)
Federation for American Immigration Reform whose founder and funder is white nationalist John Tanton. This group is also known as FAIR. “…..under John Tanton’s leadership, FAIR received charitable donations of $1.2 million between 1983 and 1994 from the Pioneer Fund, an organization dedicated to “improving the character of the American people” by promoting the practice of eugenics, or selective breeding.” (Wiki)
The current president has nominated the former executive director of FAIR, Julie Kirchner, to be chief of staff at U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), the largest federal law enforcement agency of the United States Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
